Animal Advocates of Contra Costa County

Contra Costa County faces a significant animal welfare challenge: too many dogs and cats and not enough resources to support them. We focus on addressing this at the systems level: through advocacy, community engagement, and support for the organizations providing direct care.

We work to:

• educate the public and engage elected officials and those in the municipal shelter system

• support and amplify the work of frontline rescue organizations

• raise funds for animals in need, including medical and special-needs care

• promote solutions such as expanded foster programs and accessible spay/neuter services

Our goal is simple: to create a more effective, humane, and sustainable system for animals in our community.
